Leveraging STEM/STEAM Based Games
Our KCC+ Afterschool Edu-Gaming Program leverages STEM/STEAM-based games to teach coding skills in a fun, engaging way. By incorporating game-based learning into our curriculum, we are able to provide an interactive and immersive experience that keeps students motivated and excited to learn. The specific edu-games in use will be: Roblox Studio, CodeCombat & Kerbal Space Program.
Research has shown that game-based learning can improve student engagement, retention, and achievement. By using games that are specifically designed to teach coding concepts, we are able to help students develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and computational skills that will be valuable in their future careers.
