NextGen Coders – CodeCombat in Miami Gardens
The NextGen Coders program introduces students in Miami Gardens to the world of coding through CodeCombat’s interactive, game-based platform. Over three weeks, students learned the fundamentals of computer science—covering topics like syntax, loops, variables, and algorithms—while building problem-solving and teamwork skills in a fun and engaging environment.
Each week concluded with a pizza party and mini esports-style coding tournament, giving students a chance to celebrate their progress and showcase what they learned. At the end of the program, every participant received a certificate of completion presented by CodeCombat, the City of Miami Gardens, and KPG+, recognizing their achievement in taking the first step toward becoming future-ready tech leaders.
